1. What this is

1.1 These Beta Programme Terms ("Beta Terms") apply to your participation in the EI Portal beta programme (the "Beta"). They apply in addition to our Terms of Use — including our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability, and the other documents clause 1.3 of those Terms incorporates — all of which you also accept by taking part. Clause 1.4 of the Terms of Use sets out which document prevails if any of them conflict.

1.2 By accepting an invitation, signing in, or using the Beta, you agree to these Beta Terms.

1.3 Defined terms. In these Beta Terms, "Service", "Tools", "Output" and "Content" have the meanings given in clause 2 of the Terms of Use, as in force when you use the Service. If any of those meanings conflicts with an express provision of these Beta Terms, these Beta Terms prevail, as clause 1.4 of those Terms provides.

2. Your invitation

2.1 Beta access is by invitation, is personal to you, and is non-transferable. Please do not share your invitation, sign-in link or access with anyone else — ask us instead and we may invite them directly.

2.2 We may add, change or remove testers, features, tools and access tiers at any time, and may suspend or end the Beta (or your access to it) at any time, without notice or liability.

2.3 The Beta is currently free of charge. Participation gives you no contractual entitlement to any future free or discounted access, and no payment is due to you for taking part. Any launch thank-you we offer to active beta participants is made at our discretion and confirmed with you directly.

3. What to expect from beta software

3.1 The Beta is a work in progress: expect bugs, gaps, changes and occasional downtime. Tools and their outputs are provided for evaluation and must not be relied on for real engineering decisions without independent verification by a competent person — the Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability applies in full.

3.2 We may reset, change or remove any data or configuration held in the Beta at any time.

4. Confidentiality

4.1 You're welcome — and encouraged — to talk publicly about the Beta and share your honest opinions of the tools and features you can see and use. We do not gag reviews.

4.2 However, please keep confidential:

• (a) any non-public features, tools, plans, pricing or roadmap information we share with you that is not visible in the Beta itself (for example in emails, calls or preview material);
• (b) any security vulnerability you discover (see clause 5); and
• (c) your access credentials and invitation.

4.3 Clause 4.2 does not apply to information that is or becomes public other than through your breach, or that you are required to disclose by law.

5. Security issues — responsible disclosure

5.1 If you find a security vulnerability or a way to access something you shouldn't, please tell us privately at info@eiportal.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before telling anyone else. Do not exploit it beyond what is needed to demonstrate it, and do not access other users' data. Good-faith security research conducted in line with this clause will not be treated as a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Feedback

6.1 Feedback is the point of the Beta — please be candid. Anything you submit (through the feedback form, by email, or otherwise) is licensed to us as described in clause 8.3 of the Terms of Use: we may use it freely, without restriction or payment, including to improve and build the Service.

6.2 Please don't include confidential or proprietary information (yours or your employer's), or personal data about others, in feedback.

7. Your data

7.1 Our handling of your personal data (your email for access, feedback content, and limited usage/technical data) is described in the Privacy Policy. The Beta currently stores no tool inputs on our servers — values you enter into tools are processed in your browser.

7.2 Some of that work is saved in your own browser, on the device you are using, under ei-portal-project-workflow-v1: the project, asset and scenario names you type, the engineering values you capture, and the history of the tool runs that produced them. We never receive it, it is not synchronised between your devices, it is not backed up by us, and it is permanently lost if you clear the site's data or move to another browser or device. The Cookie Policy describes it in full.

8. Ending your participation

8.1 You may stop participating at any time — just stop using the Beta and, if you like, tell us so we can remove your access. Clauses 4 (confidentiality), 5 (responsible disclosure), 6 (feedback) and the incorporated documents survive the end of your participation or of the Beta — including, in the Terms of Use, the clauses listed in clause 14.2 of those Terms.
