1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how EI Portal uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser localStorage), what they do, and the choices you have. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store small amounts of data in your browser. We refer to all of these as "cookies" below.
Cookies can be:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Service to work (you cannot turn these off through our Service);
- Functional — remember your preferences;
- Analytics/performance — help us understand usage; and
- Advertising/targeting — we do not use these.
3. The cookies and storage we use
We keep this to a minimum. EI Portal does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless — it measures aggregate, anonymised usage without storing cookies on your device or tracking you across other websites.
4. Consent and your choices
4.1 Under PECR, strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent. Because our current cookies are limited to strictly-necessary and functional items, and our analytics is cookieless, EI Portal does not currently require a consent banner for non-essential cookies. If that ever changes — for example if a future feature introduces non-essential cookies — we will put a compliant consent mechanism in place before they are used.
4.2 You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear localStorage at any time. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service (such as sign-in) from working.
4.3 Most browsers let you: see what cookies are stored and delete them individually; block third-party cookies; block cookies from particular sites; block all cookies; and delete all cookies when you close the browser. See your browser's help pages for instructions.
5. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves or as the cookies we use change. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
